After completing a Master’s degree in Physical Education from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Mrs. Richards has held full-time teaching and coaching positions at Lees-McRae College, Salem College, and Greensboro College. She has also been an adjunct instructor at The University of North Carolina, Greensboro and High Point University. During her own college athletic experience, Mrs. Richards knew that working with college students was what God had called her to do, and she has portrayed that passion at PIU. Her desire is for her students to grow in their understanding, love and service toward our Lord and to see her commitment to Christ by her words and actions. For many students in the Health and Physical Education degree program at Piedmont, they definitely appreciate her encouraging words, whether it is during class, in the gym, or during advising meetings. Mrs. Richards loves working with the students, faculty and staff at Piedmont International University.
Mrs. Richards also considers it a joy and privilege to teach Sunday school and Bible school at a multi-cultural church with a former Piedmont student. She has always enjoyed participating in sports and activities and continues to exercise on a regular basis. She believes that as Christians we are also called to honor God with our bodies. Mrs. Richards and her family live in Greensboro.
